VW 1954 industrial engine with starting position and water pump.

Specially built by the Bikker company in Rotterdam for the Dutch Railways, which purchased 8 in 1954 for their own fire brigade. We also found this with the 1st owner, the fire brigade (see last photo).

The pump itself is made entirely of brass and is therefore seawater resistant. Yes, just say it... We no longer get the quality and reliability of the past.

The engine is complete, runs and is still completely original (including the gaskets, which may need to be replaced in the meantime).

No excess play on the crankshaft.

Perfect for a beetle/bus or something as original as possible.
